Yes with diagnostic scrren on alt i. Yes, NO output like you said.
Here is a picture of wiring, I use power source of acorn (24V ansd 5V)
Wiring relays turret.jpg
Why are you using the DB25 for inputs? In order for the centroid_acorn_v450lathe_universal special Turret PLC mods to work you need to follow the instructions and the schematic implicitly for both inputs and outputs.
As of now, can you rotate the turret using the Acorn outputs?
When you do, are the two relays opening and closing when the shutter blocks the optical sensors?
Its not going to work unless you follow the correct schematic and instructions for your turret. viewtopic.php?p=7671#p7671

I use the schematic for emco pc55, and instructions in file, but instructions file says about 4 bits sensors on E point, so what I have to do with these following points E, F, G, H on 1st page of instructions ?
Yes, with Ali+i, and ctrl alt F on output 2, Turret rotates, and relays opening and closing when shutter blocks the optical sensors (two relays). I have already download centroid V450 lathe universal.

My sincerest apologies Gordon.
I had a better look at the schematic and understand now why you connected to the DB25. The DB25 is at 5V logic.
With the relays you installed, you may connect to the Acorn Input terminals 3=Turret Sync Bit and 4=Tool Position Bit1
Of course COM goes to Acorn Power supply common.
When you had the turret connected to the DB25 and you were monitoring Inputs 3 and 4 via the diagnostic screen (Alt i) were they turning off and on as the shutter passed by? I seem to remember you saying only one was turning on and off.
NOW with you using the relays, BOTH relays are turning on and off correct? Even connected to the DB25, Input 3 and 4 should be turning on and off.
Inputs are on the top row, far left.
As for the PLC, yes it is confusing. I have asked Centroid to take a look at your particular scenario and clarify.
However, being the holidays it may take a bit of time for them to get back with us and post here.
Again, sorry for the confusion.

Yes, both relays turn on and off, input 3 get green when Tool 1 is in position (turret sync bit), but input 4 stay red (tool position bit 1 or turret tool counter). It's the same problem without relays.
I will connect to acorn input terminal relays.
Maybe set the turret at a time based turret, and not at a counter turret ?

Yes connect to Acorn inputs 3/4.
Before you do, test those inputs. From Acorn power supply COM touch each input and verify they turn on and off in the diagnostic screen.
You do have the 24vdc jumper installed from Acorn Power Supply +24vdc to the Input terminal marked 24IN correct?
Sometimes I wish I could help everyone on person...but that's not possible. It's a struggle sometimes trying to make suggestions here with so many different user configurations.

I will try time based turret, using ToolSyncbit at toolhome, and don't use second sensor. I think it will be easier, schematic is the same (I will use acorn input), and in instructions files, I have to put time in ms.
Hope I can try that tomorrow !

Time based works, it just needs to find tool one first.
I would leave the other connected and make sure it is activating and deactivating its input. That way when Centroid Support returns they can answer.
Its a little better to use the tool counter. The control knows better which tool is in position.

Today I test with timer (found schematic, instruction file). Wiring, setting parameters. When in MDI I put "m18" (turret indexing), I have a message "Waiting for memory #51 (M101). Output 2 (turret rotate) not activated.
What is it ?

Just command a tool change from MDI T0202 for tool 2, or T0303 for tool 3 etc. No M6 used on lathe.
Does that not work?
