Show me your Custom VCP's!
Show me your Custom VCP's! this is a call for screen shots and reports.zip files from your Acorn CNC systems with Custom VCP's!
Goals:
1.) show everyone what cool things are possible with the VCP
2.) I need report.zip files from custom VCP's systems to test with for the new upcoming Acorn CNC12 release (v4.6)

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
Here's mine, nothing extra ordinary and always a work in progress. Even though I have a 22" touchscreen, I really like having the extra large Cycle Start and Cancel buttons that you can't miss. There's a couple of custom designed buttons for custom macros for keyholes in plaques (parametric), surfacing the table, and spindle warm up. There's a transparent button for axis pairing in the logo area (never use it, but it is a default button if you have axis paring enabled so I hid it there). Need to do more, but work keeps getting in the way.

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
I just made a few simple changes. Got rid of the buttons that didn't apply to my machine, then moved some of the other ones around to make use of the free space. Still a work in progress.

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
I wish there was a way of running the VCP disconnected from CNC12 in standalone mode so that I could work with it on my laptop and work out my modifications at my leisure rather than standing at the machine.

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
I too just made a few changes and deleted the ones that didn't apply to my machine and added the functions I use most. I have room for more options when I add them. I did edit the text on ALL the buttons so the text is uniform in size. I also added a thin outline to every button and rounded the corners on them. I don't care for different size fonts in the same button or buttons. My X, Y and Z axis button change colors when they are pressed. Also changed the size of the "VCP Options" button to match the others.
I like the "surface table" button on Sword's VCP, curious how that works.

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
Hey Shawn,
It's basically just a macro that calls up a custom file for surfacing my table. The file asks for the depth of cut, does a little pre positioning for the cutter diameter and a fence along one edge, and then surfaces the table off in a rectangular path from the outside to the center.
