DYN4 Alarm
My DYN4 drives are outputting an alarm state through Pin18 but are not showing an alarm state on the drives themselves. According to the manual the alarm will output at a 1Hz period interval, which is what I'm seeing but there is no alarm status in the DMM software on either drive. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: DYN4 Alarm
Your screenshot of the DMMRV is cut off on the right, so we can't see the status..

Re: DYN4 Alarm
Drive Status on main screen is the same as last readout parameters

Re: DYN4 Alarm
I sure I discovered the issue. The emi filter for one of the drives must have failed and was causing a serious overvoltage. I'm not sure what caused the failure.

Re: DYN4 Alarm
Nothing wrong with this screenshot. Says the drive is holding and On Position

Re: DYN4 Alarm
Not sure how an EMI filter can cause over voltage. It only passed through what is on the line side of it.....

Re: DYN4 Alarm
Marty you're right about the emi filter. I unplugged power plug from both drives and the voltage was back to normal on both filters. With the power back on I'm getting 240v at the main R/S and 270v on the logic power L1/L2. What would be causing the voltage increase at the drive?

Re: DYN4 Alarm
Doesn't make sense. How are you feeding the drives L1/L2 Power?Obsidian wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 6:59 pm Marty you're right about the emi filter. Re: DYN4 Alarm
I was feeding 240v into a contactor which had 240v going to the drive R/S and a 240v going through the line filters to the logic. I talked to a DMM rep about the issue and he was stumped. I went ahead and just wired it 120v to the logic and 240v to the R/S. There is no voltage increase at the logic side now.
