Windirstat bailed me out also with a hard drive filling up issue. In my case I had two problems. One was google earth and the other was I turned off the computers ability to hibernate. Both can use up GB,s of space.
What kind of computer is this? Desktop or Laptop?
Google earth on a CNC PC?
Not sure why having hybernate turned off will fill up the disk....
I guess glad its sorted....
The hard drive filling up was on the computer that I use for CAD/CAM. The computers that run machinery have nothing on them but the minimum to run. They are never updated and never connect to the internet.
Turning off the computers ability to hibernate saves disk space it does not fill it. Turning off the hibernate gained about 5 GB of space. Might have been 10. I had an issue long ago where the internet stick saved everything. It made a massive file.
