Wow, there are some simple voltage to PWM module out there:

Marty, I thought you may have put something in your message, but for me it shows a big empty area. No URL or picture.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:16 pm Looks like the same one I posted from Amazon for a couple bucks more....

Re: J Tech Laser - compatibility question
Page two, from me, Amazon link. Still, still works.
I'd be interested in hearing how you make out.
I understand lightburn is the software if choice, works with some laser controllers and boards like Smoothie and Grbl

Re: J Tech Laser - compatibility question
Just curious if there are any updates on the software feature for PWM on Pin 14 of the DB25 or getting the J Tech Laser to work with the Acorn with an adapter board?cnckeith wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:42 am Future plans for Acorn PWM are to pipe a 5 vdc PWM output to pin 14 on the DB25
and create two parameters to control the base frequency and duty cycle of the PWM to facilitate easy variable power control of Laser modules via Gcode. This is a new software feature (hardware is in place) and when available will work on all Acorn Hardware.

Re: J Tech Laser - compatibility question
pwm output will be released with upcoming v4.6, we have a jtech in house and are testing with it now.

Re: J Tech Laser - compatibility question
This is exciting! I have been kicking around how to do this with a "kludge" but now it seems I don't have to.

Re: J Tech Laser - compatibility question
Hello,
Just wondering if their is an ETA on this. My PWM board hack isnt really reliable and im thinking i may need to set something else up to use my laser until. Not trying to rush anyone. just trying to plan.
