Acorn works great on my pm25mv!!!

Post by Ziptie007 »

I'm not one for writing up a success story, but with just finishing my cnc conversion I thought I would give my feedback.

First some specs on my machine...

Mill - Precision Matthews PM25MV
CNC kit - Arizona Video
Motors & Drives - Closed loop hybrid stepper motors with leadshine clones
Board - Acorn
Electronics Enclosure - My Build using a mid tower computer case
Limit Switches - Yes

A special thanks to the videos that Marty and Franco puts out! With watching just about every video I was able to wire and setup my machine. Even though I just got it up and running a couple of weeks ago I feel that the cnc12 platform is very stable and user friendly. I'm very happy with my decision to run acorn on my cnc conversion.

F7 Utilities, F7 create report. Has all your machine parameters. Keep a copy off the machine on a USB drive

Nice Work!

Hey guys, i am almost finished with my conversion but am struggling with the last step of spindle control and cannot figure out how to connect the two wired output from the kb board to the three wired input for the speed controller. And advice would be greatly appreciated.
