Follow Through Line disappeared after upgrade to 4.20 <resolved>
I've just updated CNC12 from 4.18 to 4.20. The machine is working fine after restore from report.
However, i found that the Follow Through Line (Yellow Dot) that usually follow the spindle for real time moving is not appeared after updated to 4.20.
Where should I set up to make this Yellow Dot come back?

That's interesting. I saw this recently on my lathe, but still running 4.18. Thought it was a 'one off' so didnt bother with reporting it. Let's see what comes from the responses.

Re: Follow Through Line disappeared after upgrade to 4.20
I set the tool diameter very small at 0.2 mm because I runs this code for Waterjet cutting. By the way, it was exactly the same g-code I run on 4.18 and 4.20, but the line is just disappeared after upgrade. So, I wonder why this problem happened.
More information, I’ve tried to press “Trail On” (F9), that’s also not bring the line back on 4.20.

Re: Follow Through Line disappeared after upgrade to 4.20
In the past I read you had to copy over your old tool library and offset library files after an upgrade because the upgrade installed the default tool library. Maybe you still do, is your current tool library showing all zeros for length and diameter? If so you need to copy over the two files for your tool library from your old cncm directory. I'll go check mine as I have that off by default and I also recently upgraded.

Did you check your tool library, to make sure the tool you were using is still there and programmed properly?vprasit wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 9:39 am I set the tool diameter very small at 0.2 mm because I runs this code for Waterjet cutting. Re: Follow Through Line disappeared after upgrade to 4.20 (Solved)
I've tested the same drawing today and the Line just show up without changing any setup.
All other drawing also no problem.
May be, it's just need to re-power on the Acorn after upgrade (which i did re-power 2 times yesterday).
Actually, I haven't set any tools in tool library since 4.18, because waterjet cutting just no need to change tool.
So, the tool list in library is still the same as default.
Thanks so much for all of your responses.

Set a tool, give it a diameter, and use it as an experiment. What tool is shown on your main display when you run a job?

Re: Follow Through Line disappeared after upgrade to 4.20
hello. post a fresh report.zip and the g code program that you are running for us to see the tool library and the g code program (what tool it is calling)
this also allows us to run our system exactly the way yours is configured.. without this information everything is just guessing.
