Error 327 on Rapid (Z Axis Move)
New error for me, not had this before.
I'm getting an Error 327 - same place each time when trying to cut a part. I dont have the code, but ive slowed down the Axis. Ill get the code across in a bit but Report attached.
From other errors it sounds like a noise issue but not had issues before, suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Hello.
the message logs contained in the report.zip file show communication issues with the CNCPC and the Acorn. Check connections both physical and software settings in Windows. Ping the Ethernet address to debug. make sure there is no Virus software installed and running to debug.

Make sure you are using shielded ethernet cables. Make sure PC, ethernet cable are seated very well and routed away from anything that can cause EMIChaz wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2019 2:54 pmThanks, saw them in the logs. Re: Error 327 on Rapid (Z Axis Move)
Thanks, its using the supplied Ethernet cable and is as it was before the problem started. I did install a small VFD however to run the coolant pump but its in its own box with the Spindle VFD. Ill disconnect it and see if the problem goes away.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 11:32 amMake sure you are using shielded ethernet cables. Re: Error 327 on Rapid (Z Axis Move)
Ok, tested again.
VFD disconnected, no problems.
VFD connected, not running, same issue.
The VFD is power from the same powersource in a cabinet adjacent to where the Acorn controller is. The only wiring going to it from Acorn is an unshielded 3 core cable, using 2 cores to switch on the VFD to run the coolant pump.
From the VFD it goes to the motor via a route nowhere near the Acorn setup.
What's interesting is that it shows:-
9031 DRIVE FAULT!
327 Fault
Yet there is no fault wiring going to the HSS86 drives, so how / why does Acorn think there is a drive fault?
New report attached.

The MPU REquest resend is bad ethernet packet data. Likely from NOISE.
Open your diagnostic screen (Alt+i) look at your Drive Fault input, what state is it?
I think you have a nasty VFD...
What is "3 core cable"?
I would use the digital inputs on the VFD to turn your pump on and off, not power up and down the VFD if that's what you are doing....

Re: Error 327 on Rapid (Z Axis Move)
Thanks, saw those messages in the logs too. I dont believe I have anything connected to the input for drive fault. Need to check, the machine was retrofitted by another forum member here. Ive got some screenshots (Ive closed up the garage for now), so wont head back in tonight.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 2:55 pmChazChaz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 2:38 pm Ok, tested again.
Open your Report, then go down and file the file URF.ZIP. Open it and look at the MSG_LOG. TXT

The MPU REquest resend is bad ethernet packet data. Likely from NOISE.
Open your diagnostic screen (Alt+i) look at your Drive Fault input, what state is it?
I think you have a nasty VFD...
