Re: Centroid M-15
My screen is doing the same thing.
I removed the PC from the cabinet today (the entire assembly) and bench tested. The problem happens every time I restart (which I've been doing a lot of in the last few days - see my other post re y-axis not working).
With the motherboard removed, I can gain access to the LCD screen mainboard. I can make it work by unplugging and re-plugging in the cable circled in the image.

You can make "it" work. Is it just the screen or will the control come up?charlie wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 5:28 am My screen is doing the same thing.

The screen lights up with a blank grey/white tone at boot/main power on. Nothing happens when I disconnect the cable circled. The screen then functions correctly when I plug the same cable back in.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 4:50 pmYou can make "it" work. So you have to disconnect and reconnect to get it to work, or is it working on its own now? I'm not clear...charlie wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 5:41 amThe screen lights up with a blank grey/white tone at boot/main power on. Nothing happens when I disconnect the cable circled. Re: Centroid M-15
Yes, that's correct. Disconnecting that particular cable and reconnecting it spurs the screen into working correctly.

Re: Centroid M-15
But when you shut down, you have to go through this operation again to get the screen back?
CNC software shows correctly?
Before you unplug/reconnect the cable, do you see a faint image on the screen of the control software?

Re: Centroid M-15
Yes, the screen doesn't seem to "work" by default after a restart. I need to go through this procedure each time.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 10:32 amBut when you shut down, you have to go through this operation again to get the screen back?

Before unplug/reconnect: the screen shows a strange grainy grey/white blank colour. The backlight seems to be working. Nothing resembling the control software.

Charlie, it almost sounds like a bad monitor, have you given Centroid a call with your control number for some direction?charlie wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 4:25 pmYes, the screen doesn't seem to "work" by default after a restart. Marc has some good information on his website that may be helpful.

Perhaps when Marc has time he can chime in. He is one of the most experienced Centroid Represenatives in the Country.

Re: Centroid M-15
I got a second hand centroid m-15 as my first cnc machine, but I don't have an owner's manual for it and I'm having some trouble.
1) Does anyone have a digital copy of the owner/operator's manual?
2) My main issue right now is that the controller won't recognize files on my usb stick. It recognized the files a month ago, but now it only recognizes that something is plugged in to the port, it cannot see any files or folders on it. My usb stick is formatted with FAT32 and there is only one active usb port on my controller (the usb is fine because it works fine on my computer and I already mentioned that the controller recognized it a month ago). Can anyone recommend some help with this? Anyone tried another form of file transfer such as ethernet?
Any help would be appreciated.

Pleae start a NEW post, don't tag onto someone else's post, I understand why you did, but its better if you do your own.hunterh wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 6:53 pm I got a second hand centroid m-15 as my first cnc machine, but I don't have an owner's manual for it and I'm having some trouble.

Did you look here?: https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... nuals.html
Toward the bottom.
Also, which version of sofware are you running? Press F1 setup it should display on the screen.
