allinonedc new install: control panel

Post by warnerr »

Success bench testing my AllinoneDc. great manual! I may have made an error adding PLC Centroid-mill-standard-allinonedc-r2.src file- i do not yet have wireless mpg but need the virtual control panel to run. On startup i get an error when the virtualcontrollpanel.exe is called saying a library entry point is not installed. photo
It this due to that plc addon or something else? Uninstall all and do again?
windows 7 pro, no AV.

You need Windows 10 for CNC12 and a 16:9 monitor for the VCP.
Cheers,

Tom

Centroid Minimum PC requirements. If you are running 4.14 you need Windows 10

I would suggest getting a referb Lenovo like many of us are using for our CNCPC. They're only a couple hundred and work great also it's better to run a dedicated PC for your machine anyway. It will also free up your cad machine to stay dedicated to design. JMO for what it's worth.

Thanks Dan for the advice- nothing better than someone with experience speaking. Going the dedicated cpu way- will install it in my viewing console. I went with an Intel NUC7i5BNK - i5-7260U @ 2.20GHz / 16GB and ssd- should be up to the task. but nothing like my workstation! Arrives in a few days. This is fun!
