I deleted mfunc3 and re-booted and no change at all.

Silly question but did you copy over a clean mfunc3 and mfunc4 to replace the ones you deleted?

Which output is set to "SpinFWD"? Can you verify that the 2 wire spindle logic is connected there?

With acorn powered up, go to the area where you can turn the spindle on off commands manually. Change it to manual instead of automatic. Then click the green spindle on button. Does one of the relays click on?

Gary
You may be getting close. On the supplied board from Centroid relays 1 and 8 are latched together. So used No. 8 to operate the spindle and that is what is set to spin FWD. Relay 1 is used as a set of dry contacts to operate the contactor in my dust collection setup. Thus when the spindle goes on the dust collector starts. This works just as it should but now I am wondering just what I have #1 set on.

I will go to my shop today and find out.

Another thing I am considering doing is re-installing CNC12. I am not sure that I have the maintenance upgrade installed anyway.

Post screen shots of your Wizard IO page.
Sounds like you did not follow a Centroid schematic.
Which output is set to No fault?
Reminder, for support please follow this post: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=383

Then SpinFWD must be set on output 8

Then you will be on your own, support is not offered for versions prior to CNC12 v4.18

Basically, everyone is trying to divide and concur. You can test the spindle by using a battery for the 0-10 volt, and the two wires from the spindle can be touched together from "fwd and common". So Acorn does not need to work to fully test the spindle.

Then you can test Acorn without the spindle. If it's set up and assigned correctly, you can test the 0-10 volt output with a meter, and that you have the expected relay working that you intend to use for turning on the spindle.

So an issue on either end could cause it not to work. Is one side working correctly without the other, and which one? From that point it can be narrowed down.

Installing the latest version of cn12 should be done yesterday.

The spindle is working just fine as is the on/off feature. Please look at the video that I put up it will show you just what the Acorn is not doing.
Will check the install in the morning. went to do it this afternoon and got sidetracked with some heavy weather movng in to our area.
