If it were me, I would make my X axis spindle left/right and my moving table, Y axis front/back.

Seems more logical to me.....

ok.. if the Ptest program flips on the table compared to the CNC12 graphics of the g code on the screen... then its the motor wiring that is backwards.

i've set up a bunch of moving table machines over the years.. i always make the table the Y axis. see pdf attached.
