Video: Installing a KB Electronics KBIC-120 & SI5

Post by martyscncgarage »

In this video, I removed the old DC brush spindle control and replaced it with a KBIC-120 Control with matching SI-5 Signal Isolator.
The Signal Isolator is REQUIRED to be used with Acorn and accepts the 0-10VDC input.
I go through the removal, installation, connection and calibration using the CNC software.

Hope it helps those wanting to control their DC brush spindle motors with Acorn

There was nothing other than the schematic that Franco in his video posted. Nothing about your machine in that drop box folder.

Did you watch the videos Parts 1 & 2 that Keith posted above? What version of CNC12 are you running now?
5.20 just came out.

The Acorn Installation manual discusses the 0-5VDC Spindle Analog signal and how to change it in the Wizard.
