My lathe is running the most time 1500-3000 rpm

for ex. 2000 rpm = 33.33 rps -> 5 revs in 150ms, so you can expect chip breaking every 5 revolutions.

With good servo tunning, this is no problem since the feedrate fluctuates smoothly in a sine curve.

Pecking with for ex. +1mm federate -0.1mm rapid is way more jerky, but 100% sure chip breaking.
