KP-3 adjustment to sensitivity?

Post by ForumShop »

Hello, we just purchased a new KP-3 for our mill and the setup and operation has gone well. But we notice that occasionally, the sensor will remain triggered after a contact causing errors. Sometimes after a touch and release, the LED will stay illuminated or dim. After a gentle finger tap or two, the light will go out and operation can continue.
Is there an adjustment or calibration for this? And if there is a better place to ask this question, please let me know.

Thank You!

Hello,

I have seen this and similar issues before but I would not expect to see them on current production KP-3s.

From what you've said, it will be stuck tripped from the kinematic seat not settling correctly. When the LED is dim, the kinematic seat settled but with high resistance.

Staying tripped after the contact is released is an issue worth getting an RMA for repair and return.
