You have only compensation dialed in between X 1.5 and X 13.5
So it will only compensate if you are moving in this range

I understand. But I don't see any movement at all along any part of the X axis, even where the values are non-zero.
I also saw a mention in Keith's video that if an axis is not enabled one won't get VC working. I don't know how that might happen, but I tried his enter/exit MDI and that didn't help.
I had this working earlier when the feature was earlier in development and it worked great. Something is different now and I can't figure out what it is.

On my mill with 5.30 VC is working ok.

But I have full tab tables for XYZ.

One Glitch is that the prob cycles do not use the compensation, instead of X 0.000 Y 0.000 it is setting 0 to X 0.012 Y 0.008 if this is the compensation value for this coordinate.

I found out what I was doing wrong. Only one complete table is necessary for adjustment of taper on my fourth axis.
I really like this feature, and it works quite well for what I need.

fyi. this feature is coming off beta for v5.40.0 as "Planar Compensation" which can be used to remove skew, bows, and bumps
and will be in the Ultimate License level. any beta users that makes a video and post it on youtube on how this feature solved a mechanical problem for them will receive a complimentary license upgrade. as this version can correct a lot of machine tool mechanical issues saving time and money.

future: True full 3D volumetric tables are on the to do list for v5.50.0
