Thank you!
Yes I have the exact same probe.

Re: 3 wire probe connections?
They are pretty good probes for any CNC router work and they seem to be accurate enough for my work. Oh, and the price is right.

Re: 3 wire probe connections?
Also just bought one of these. It's tiny, they seem very popular. Will also hook mine up soon, thanks for the info.

Re: 3 wire probe connections?
I replaced this one on my lathe with the new KP1, because the repeatability is way better.
But this Chinese probe is better than most other very cheap ones.

Re: 3 wire probe connections?
It's really a pretty good probe and the price is crazy good. It's also well built for what it is. I use it for probing the center of circles in panels and then wall following the shape of panels and the accuracy is really good for what I'm doing. If an instrument hole is off by .003" the customer will never notice.
I'll update the schematic with a pic of the actual probe since there are many "chinese" probes on the market.
I have a PDF and DXF of the schematic is anyone needs it. I could only post an image or pic of the schematic.

Yes 0.003" is no problem for this probe.ShawnM wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 11:10 pm It's really a pretty good probe and the price is crazy good. It's also well built for what it is. Most parts I do have to be within +-0.0003" deviation

Re: 3 wire probe connections?
I know there are you mill and lathe guys out there who need tighter tolerances. You may see .003" and say "damn, that's HUGE" but for a router guy chopping wood that's by far "close enough" by a long shot. It's even close enough for my aviation panel work in aluminum. I can barely see light through my calipers when set to .003"suntravel wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 11:34 pmYes 0.003" is no problem for this probe.ShawnM wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 11:10 pm It's really a pretty good probe and the price is crazy good. Re: 3 wire probe connections?
Yep and the connector you have linked is also advertised as aviation style

Re: 3 wire probe connections?
Oh boy, here we go again.

And for the record, I didn't link to any connector, that was Scott, I use XLR connectors. Not those FAKE, SO CALLED aviation connectors.
