Breaking news! Delta B3A ethercat drive is now running with Hickory and we are doing final tests on a in house machine.
A setup tech bulletin with all the details is in the works, i will post here soon.

One thing that I'm wondering. The PID (centroid side) is that purely for delay in drives or is that also a PID position-wise (running over the Delta PID)?

For Hickory, the main tuning done on the Centroid side is the delay. If you have scales, that will add another position loop on top.

Delta takes care of the PID, EtherCat runs in position mode.

Centroid Drive Delaty Autotune is only for the Drive Delay calculation and has nothing to do with PID loop between the motor and the drive and the encoder other than syncing up the commanded position and actual position.
