we tested a 3 year old delta and it doesn't work.
hoping to get our hands on an updated model. delta is hard to buy in the USA.

if you have one send it to us and we will test and if it works create instructions and a schematics on how to configure it with hickory.

hickory ethercat haas mini mill 2001 .
spindle motor curently use ac 320 volt using a haas servo amplifier

i know i have to replace the haas drive this something motor 800 rpm looks like 3 phase motor 10 hp there no tags

question what would be my best choice make model on VFD to control the spindle motor it need encoder input for spindle orientation
how does hickory handle that

the other how does hickory handle tool changer wiring
haas using dc motors with limit switches it turns and triggers 1 switch it not servo driven
in and out the same 2 limit switches

Thanks Keith for the manual. I have been reading through it and have a couple of questions. It has been quite some time since I did my initial bench testing and there are several steps added here in the manual that weren’t in the original sheets, such as the communication stress test and spindle bench test.

I have everything mounted in the machine at this point and I am very close to start up. I intend to do some back tracking and perform those additional tests, which I assume is a good idea.

The main question is about the set up of the LeadShine EL7 motors and drives. There is no mention of the tuning of the motors using the factory software in the manual. I assume that should be completed before ever hooking the drives to Hickory or should that step fall somewhere in the tuning and set up of the CNC12/Hickory?

Thanks Gary

Hello Gary,
I am a little out of the loop on the Hickory documentation and plans for it going forwards but the steps for tuning in the EL7 tech bulletin should still apply. You can find that document here: https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... ds/323.pdf
