Hickory "Mini" ?

Post by johannes »

Are there plans to make a Hickory Mini?
I am interested in basing a new router on EtherCat, but I dont need 8 axis of motion. The current Hickory offering is perhaps too powerful for my needs, and the cost of the Hickory controller (and the cost of the Hickory Router Pro license) quickly adds up on a DIY budget.

Are there plans to introduce a smaller/cheaper EtherCat offering? For instance, something like a a Hickory Mini with e.g. 4 axis of motion, and a price under $1K?

not at this time, maybe when e cat motor/drives become cheaper and more standard that would be a good time for this kind of product.
