try and comment out line 35 "G64 ON ......"

and then force smoothing ON in the CNC12 smoothing menu

then run the job again.

That's what I did off to the side in the second half of that video. I commented it out and then chose "Precision Router" before I started it agian. ;)

i think i found the cause.. just for fun pull the ToolTouchOffTriggered and the ProbeTripped inputs out of the Wizard input selection menu and write settings to cnc controller etc... on RC3 and run the test file again.

Well, that's fine Howdy Doody! Fix one problem,... https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic. ... 937#p85937 ...create another.

I removed both inputs and files run as normal. Replacing just ToolTouchOffTriggered is fine, but with ProbeTripped and probe protection enabled, the issue returns. I've always left probe protection enabled (even though there's no input defined), so that the tripped and triggered warning messages appear on screen. With probe protection disabled, the messages do not show, but files do run with smoothing as normal. I would think that the toggle for showing or not showing the tripped/triggered messages would be the "Display Warning to verify that Probe or TT is functioning properly" toggle in Probe config, but it's not.

One very strange thing happens though when having "Display Warning to verify that Probe or TT is functioning properly" set as NO, and also having probe protection set as NO, the paired axis is no longer reversed (as it is set in axis pairing), and as soon as a move is made for that axis, the paired drives fault because they're driving opposite directions. :o

So, with the inputs set as they were, probe protection disabled, and display warning enabled, all seems to work as normal and tool z zero/tool measuring works, just that the tripped/triggered messages do not appear.

Thanks Keith, and yep, I think it's time to have some separation between conductive touch offs, tool measuring, and true probes.

I have this file (starts at the 1 minute mark) https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic. ... 948#p20948 that has a lot of spirals and circles, and generally it would run like it does in that video, but with 5.10RC3, it just crawls and jerks along as if you were running exact stop.
Thanks for the Help and Extra Effort to Demonstrate the Smoothing differences.
Probe set to NO was causing Probe protection to act up. Should be squared away in RC4

Any Luck With the jerky WMPG Motion? I'm currently trying to see a difference and narrow this down but un able to so far.

Here is a build to try with the jerk fix.

removed link.

Thanks Keith and Joey! That build seems to make the CWP4 MPG motion smoother. Did that build also have the probe protection fix in it (it doesn't have RC4 in the filename)? Never-the-less, with the probe and TT settings back to where this saga started, things appear to be working right and good. The paired axis direction swap is corrected too.

Two thumbs up! 8-)

I take that last statement back, the paired axis direction swap still happens.

yeah, we haven't fixed the paired axis swap yet, the build was just the jerk fix! thanks for your help. :D
and yes, the download link was not an RC hence no RC label. just a daily build to see if the jerk was fixed!
hopefully tomorrow we will have the axis motor direction reverse stuff fixed!
really appreciate your help and feedback on our way to a v5.1 release.
