Parameter 131 option

Post by Sword »

While checking out the latest options for Rotary in the wizard of the current beta, I also checked out the parameter 131 options, and was wondering if there was a way of toggling the F1/F6 3/4 axis button in a macro. Sure, you can toggle the presence of the button with G10 P131 R21, but can you actually toggle the menu button from a macro somehow?

Hey Scott,

This is not currently an option, but we are investigating if this is possible.

Thanks Joey. I was just going to post a feature suggestion for adding the option to set parameter 131, to enable the button, to the new Wizard Rotary section. ;)

My reason for looking for a way of toggling the button to a macro, is that I have a button to turn on/off the power to a rotary axis when not in use, and would like to toggle the DRO display at the same time.

you can do it with a VCP button. I'll make a video to show you how.

Keith, are you talking toggling the enabling of the 3/4 axis button that parameter 131 does, or toggling the 4th axis DRO display like the 3/4 axis button itself does? I'm looking at the later. Thanks.

no way to do it with a macro at the moment, but i will show you'all how to add a VCP button that does the same thing as F6 Rotary On/Off in the part setup menu.
