That's just it though...I'm not getting a com port number in the device manager...therefore - I can't set the parameter.

Wondering if I got a beat one or what...

Guessing you have tried some other ports and another PC maybe, just to see if it shows up.

I think we're suckin diesel now... For whatever reason, only the Reset device showed up and nothing under USB devices. Now I got it showing up as a USB Serial Device on com 11...popped in the parameter and it's lit up.

Thanks for the moral support... I can't explain how it mysteriously showed up after like 7 tries, but persistence pays off I guess 😁

Glad it started showing up! If you want, I can send you the latest firmware and instructions for updating but it should already be at the latest.

In either case, please keep us updated on any further issues you may run into.

Just to add to this, in the real world, PLC operators and indicators are almost certainly 24v. 5v is cool at home, and we all know raw LEDs use much lower voltages, but if there are going to be outputs and inputs, they need to handle 24v. I understand this causes issues with USB, so this means external power supplies, buck-boosts, relays, optoisolators, whatever it takes;

Industrial IO is mature, thoroughly tested, and has evolved for over 70 years. IEC-61131 was first adopted in 1993 and has become the defacto standard dictating 24v.

Oh duh, that's a great point. Awesome.

Do you think this code change will eventually allow a (m400 pendant) wired MPG and a wireless MPG to coexist?

i never had both a wired and wireless mpg connected to a m400 but,i think you can do that right now (and even have the VCP thrown into the mix).

Yeah for some reason it doesn't work, both sales and tech suppt confirmed this. I'm not talking about any ol mpg, I mean the pendant that comes with the m400 can't be used with the WMPG. If this isn't the case, I would really really like to implement both.
