yeah if you bail mid homing cycle you can sometimes interrupt the cycle while the axes are un paired. there is a command that re-pairs them after it is square'd up in the home program...so, if you cancel out after it un-pairs but before it re-pairs then the machine is left in the un-paired state. and its up to your to re-pair them.

in a future rev we are working on a way to prevent this from happening. right now the home program is changing the pairing parameter from paired to no paired that is why the Wizard (which reads theses parameters upon start up) show'd it as un-paired.
This is the first time I have had the un-pairing happen when interrupting a homing session. Worst that has happened before was just losing the travel soft limits.

I was trying to re-home the machine after the initial home, that is how I got into the condition which I wasn't able to back-off the limit switch which triggered first when the machine was looking for the slaved Y axis to trip first. I wasn't able to back off Y during the homing with the VCP or MPG in the 1x mode when it was in the state of Y limit triggering before the Y Slave as it was expecting.
this has always been this way, you just got unlucky and bailed right at the point in which the axis was un paired and the travel limits were set to 0 (so the machine can move beyond them to autosquare the gantry).

I haven't run into this issue with G30 until this release.

I did not set Z value at 20.8099, this is being written by the Wizard. My max Z travel is set to 14 7/8".

20.8099 is my machine Y value for the touch plate.

Can you help identify where the 20.8099 Z value is being generated?

The only time entered that value was setting up the G30 WCS position as I have in previous versions for my touch plate to measure tool offset.

Something has changed in R14 from R12 causing this behavior.
use another return point for the TT position, G30 is being used by new feature in the Wizard ATC setup menu. the 20.8099 Z value is coming from your configuration of the Wizard page itself.

Implemented Parameter 496 to set USB com port for future USB connected hardware such as Future Centroid operator control panels
Please please please do not retire the directly-wired jog panel in favor of one that works only through USB, Windows, Skinning, etc..

Do you *like* facing your customers, shrugging your shoulders, and saying "yeah, sometimes it doesn't work right, and we don't know why not..."?

we are not doing that.

usb is in addition not a replacement.

many, many customers have asked for this as all they want is a few knobs or a few extra buttons without hogging up the i/o on the main board or costing an arm and a leg.

R14 Acorn6 lathe:

No tool tip visible in the RTG

M200 will not display a message box, M224 is ok.

With repeat on in the Run screen, parts are not counting, default counter is ok.

Just tried the beta due to the InitialStage SV_ATC_CAROUSEL_POSITION bug in my recent thread. I was using G30 for a atc and (P3) for tool setter. As someone else reported the G30 Z for ATC gets reset, creating a crash or tool drop situation for atc's. Back to running 5.04 and everything runs smoothly.

thanks,
can you post some report.zip's from each? this would help us investigate.
