Initial installation on my benchtop router/laser combo went well.

The no ATC and custom M6 macro deletion is still present. In the Wizard ATC setup, If you do not have an ATC and leave set to "None", shouldn't the following settings be grayed out, and when saving settings, not delete a custom M6 if you have one? My thinking as I come to this section is if I don't have an ATC, I leave it on "None", and no further settings are needed and nothing happens with my custom M6 macro if present.

If you have a Custom M6 Macro, then you should check the option that you are using a "Custom M6 Macro" in the ATC Menu as the M6 macro is typically reserved for Tool Changing Actions, even manual Tool Changes. Effectively, "None" is a manual tool change. In the case of none, we want CNC12 to default to its default action of prompting the operator to change tools when a M6 is called (Presumably for a tool change).

When the Wizard is set to none, it will remove any M6 otherwise if a custom M6 exists, CNC12 will run the macro. Depending on the macro it may result in unexpected actions as you may of expected to be prompted to manually change the tools and not run a macro. Thus the wizard removes the M6 macro as this instructs CNC12 to perform its default behavior to prompt for operator to change the tools.

To prevent the wizard from doing this, simply set to "Using Custom M6" and it should not touch the file then.

Thanks for the explanation, so it is not a bug, it is a feature....

And yes, without ATC but set using a "Custom M6 Macro" in the ATC Menu it does not remove my M6 Macro.

Installed 64 bit version without issue from v5.04.

Router - paired 'Y" axis 2 & 4
Noticed movement of paired axis motors not as smooth jogging at higher speeds.

Smoothing is not configured in 5.07v12 beta.

Will be Friday before I can delve deeper into what may be causing the issue.

Whooa, just caught up with the disappearing mfunc6.mac. I do not use an ATC BUT I do use a Custom mfunc6 with Swissi's ProbeApp.

Although we now know to set "Custom M6 Macro" in the ATC section, many other Users will not. Therefore suggest this is either moved to PREFERENCES section or duplicated
Hope this helps

I use Swissi's probe app also and didn't select ATC in the Wizard. I'm not sure how this will cause the m6 macro to disappear if we are supposed to be doing a fresh install. Wouldn't you copy over the m6 macro after the installation of the beta?

I use the Probe App also, and I generally copy over the probing folder and the M6 along with my other custom macros after installing the betas, but before configuring anything in the Wizard (so that all my macros show up in the list for the VCP buttons). That's why when the ATC section was first introduced, I left it set to "None" and just moved on without setting the custom M6 option. I then noticed that my PBAPP M6 was being deleted. Since finding that was the cause, I have been automatically setting custom M6 to "Yes", but some that do not have an ATC may not figure that out right away and wonder why it's happening.
