File/Open last folder opened

Post by Sword »

There's something that has changed with the file open location behavior. It now seems to be completely locked in to always go to C:\cncm\ncfiles. The fix that I came up with several years ago no longer works (attached links). When you have hundreds of sub folders in the ncfiles folder, it's quite helpful to not have to relocate the last folder used to pull up the next file that is wanted. No offense, but is there a reason that the standard windows file open dialog can't be used, so that you are always greeted with the last/previously used folder, like most windows programs use?

See parameter 4 in the manual to use Windows file dialogs.

Yes, it's set to 9, just as it has always been. It did work with the windows hack workaround, but it no longer does.

Should have said, the normal windows open file dialog way of opening the last folder chosen while using a program.

added to parameter 4 the ability to add 16 which will force the windows file dialog to load from the last known directory in the same way the advanced file display works.

This works great. Set the PARM to 25 for windows file explorer returning to last folder used.
