does the carousel move in and out? (like a machining center) or does the X axis move in/out to place/pickup the tool?

CNCKeith;

I have attached a new report.
I don't know if this helps or not but when I was running CNC12 4.82 The OUTPUTS were still missing referring to (ATC_CarouselForward and Reverse)
and this is why I loaded the beta with the hope that the outputs would appear

in v4.82 carousel ATC stuff is only in the Mill software (not in Router).

in v4.99 rev5 it is also in the Router version.

in v4.99 rev4 they were inadvertently left out of Acorn totally, but are in the AcornSix wizard.
corrected that, upcoming rev5 soon to be posted publicly.

ok, you'll have to create a simple custom M6, since the stock M6 assume the carousel moves in and out on its own. you will have to add the axis moves into the tool change macro using machine coordinates.

do you have a reliable method of homing the machine working?

CNCKeith;
I was going Crazy, I could see the two outputs in the router plc file but had no response from anyone about it.
Yes I have proximity sensors for homing all axis + self squaring (Maybe i can slow the x, y and Z homing traveling speed speed for better accuracy)
On the Carousel there is an X= tool ready to insert position sensor (x-68.5) and an X tool inserted in fork sensor(x=-70.45)
The Z value is -6.75'' To insert the tool into fork and maybe I should go a little less like maybe 1/8 to -6.575 to pick up the tool and see the push down
effect on the carousel plate ( the tool does no insert all the way until the solenoid pull it in).
feel free to add any advise.
In the mean time:
I will not do anything to the Carousel Forward and reverse.
I will have to hold for release 5 to be posted.
But I will work on the mfunc6.mac file

Thank you cncKeith

Hello All and CNCKeith I am finally back and setting up the AXYZ 4008 8 tool ATC.
I knew more before than I do now, if you don't do this all the time it gets frustrating.
I installed the latest version and updated all the I/O and settings , now I need help for the ATC.
this ATC does not move, it only rotates Forward or Reverse so the router head needs to insert the tool into the fork to replace it. and load from the top to then pull the tool out.
The mfunc6 file needs to be edited to include absolute values to make these moves work.
Has anyone done this?
need help or some kind of roadmap
Thanks

start by posting a fresh report.zip so we can see your current setup.
and repost link to photo album of the machine so we can see what it is you are working with

Hello CNCKeith
I attached the report and a link to the photos.
The carousel works with forward and Reverse output relays 40-41
I am in the process to add a homing sensor to the carousel and a tool count sensor.
The tool count sensor seems to skip tools ( don't know why) it light up on all tools but the (Alt I screen) light skips some time not all the time and the speed of the carousel is pretty slow.
I will work on the sensors and go from there.
The machine works great I have been using it with the older version and I am sure that it works with the new one.
