ATC Carousel

Post by Angelo DiCenso »

Help.
I am replacing all of an AXYZ 4008 electronics with an Acorn By Centroid.
I have all of it running including Automatic squaring.
Running CNC12 V4.99 Rev4 Beta with the hope of better ATC settings.
I am now attempting to set up the 8 tool carousel and :
1) I am running the Stepper motor to turn the Carousel Forward, Stop, Reverse, stop with an Arduino and that is working.
2) I do not have ATC_CarouselForward output (41) and ATC_CarouselReverse output (42) (where do I find them?) Or do I have to make Macros for them
3) Is there a step by stem procedure for this specific Carousel? If not can someone help me with some kind of a roadmap?
4) How do I set tool one to home.

two ways to go.

1.) install the release version of CNC12 Mill v4.82 and follow the ATC carousel instructions here. (and install your Pro or Ultimate License, report shows system is still on "Free")
https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... ograms.zip

2.) or continue to work with beta software and use the new built-in ATC menu in the Wizard to setup the Carousel.

i should have an updated v4.99 rev5 public beta very soon.

either way here are the hookup schematics.

three phase.

cnckeith ;
I have uploaded 2 more photos that show the pro license installed, I don't know why the report shows otherwise.
I have gone through many pages of instructions (including the your link) and it's just getting worse.

1) I should first get the carousel to home, to tool (1), Totally disregard the ATC_CarouselForward and ATC_CarouselReverse.
now that you have seen the photos what is a good approach for that?
Am I going in the right direction?

cncKeith;

Could the license glitch be eliminating the ATC_CarouselForward and ATC_CarouselReverse from my OUTPUT list??

please post a fresh report.zip, maybe the report you posted was before you installed the license.

I'll have a v4.99 rev5 soon. with improvements to this area. creating an "ATC" input / output selection that shows only i/o related to ATC's
