I hope this helps, :D

I am not sure of the physical ratio of the pulleys without taking the belt off and counting teeth, I think it is 1:3 (20t to 60t) but the settings in the image (third line C) is allowing me to drive the C axis 1080 degrees and ending back on zero when I have my degree plate in the chuck.

You should have 360° for one revolution, not 1080

Sorry, yes but I was doing 3 turns for greater accuracy. I forgot to mention that :)

This will not work with CAM or Intercon.

Resolution depends only on gear ratio and steps/rev.

1:3 4000 steps = 360 / 4000 / 3 = 0.03°

1:3 8000 steps = 360 / 8000 / 3 = 0.015°

1:4.5 8000 steps = 360 / 8000 / 4.5 = 0.01° (that is what I use)

I will have to have another look tomorrow (its 22:00 here).
I didn't think it was right when I did it but it was working out to the correct angles.
I will check the steps/rev too while I am there and try to find where the error is. This doesn't explain why the p145 isn't working properly does it?

C-Axis with 4.99 on Acorn is not working right, only on Acorn6 at the moment.

I have send a report to Centroid, they will fix it fast I hope.

If it is working on my Acorn board I will write a setup manual.

Wow, thats great. Thanks for all the help. I am just so gratefull for the support. If and when they fix it is ok, there is no rush on my behalf as I can just use it the way I have it for now. I may even just upgrade it to the six if it is all working well and put the 4 on my plasma table. The only thing is that V4.99 beta has 90 days left on the trial (even after putting my licence in)🤔

I know I have asked before and I believe it is possible but has gear hobbing or any other spindle to spindle slaving been done on the six?

Beta Versions all have an expiration date, you can cheat it with windows date

But since now Centroid was always faster with new Beta or final version.

At the moment the spindles are only 1:1 slaved without feedback synchro.

Next step is to have them run individually. More functions in the future.

Thanks for that, I might hold off on upgrading for the minute and watch this space. I understand that they have alot on their plate after the plasma release. It suits me better financialy to wait too.

Thanks again and I look forward to your next video showing off the acorn6
