Any updates?

Thanks
Bill

These are the issues I'm having.
1: can't run Auto Square/ Home without Probe connected/ homes when connected. Get Error code 916.
2: can't move axis using MDI without probe connected, get Error code 916.
3: TT-4 will not complete test procedure, page 11, step 10 in the TT-4 manual.
4: Wireless MPG will only move Master & Slave motors (Y axis) together after using the jog button on the VCP, works fine for X & Z Axis.

I wired the control panel using the wiring diagrams that are posted here. The z-axis brake, air solenoid's for the spindle & E-Stop contactor are wired too the 2nd output relay board and run off a separate power supply. AcornSix has it's own power supply.
hello.
Chris says,
from your information (thanks) we fixed the probe related issue that we could find in v4.99 rev3. (double check your NO/NC selections that the match your actual physical setup)
if you are still having issues with rev3, lets arrange a TeamViewer session so we can take a look at your setup.
PM me so setup time etc..

With Acorn router v4.99r3, I'm seeing that homing is running at 10ips on all axes, but with the 4.82 release (and all previous releases), homing is run at the slow jog settings. At first, I thought maybe it was using the fast probe rate, but it's not.

Bug or intentional?

its a feature.

you can now specify homing speeds independent of slow jog rate without a custom home program.

looks like it was accidently omitted in rev3.

and related...
you can now specify different jog rate for each axis and direction.

Ok, gotcha. Yeah that's not in there, but the 10ips is in play. Thanks Keith!

wanted to provide some feedback first issues on a 4 axis lathe

1 Had to find the functions for the 2 out grey tool change inputs for wizard and unhide them.
2 this may be a feature request. Can home all eliminate c axis and use the z index from spin encoder for c home? using switches on one input for z,x,y, is great if i can set c on another input using a prox sensor for c home. at the least. best would have zri for c if its available.
3 c drive enable ,brake release/clutch output plc logic that disables spindle analog control, I have a separate servo for c.
4 y axis and c axis in intercon is missing in my version. I see in the manual that options should reflect available axis according to parameters set.

otherwise, having done several retros and years with mach3/4 this is my first experience with centroid, is is much more finished and professional... I love what you guys have made with the acorn, i bought the 4 1 month before the six came out(bad timing) and that is the next upgrade so I can run live tooling with ac servos for rigid taping on the y heads.
