Display Precision for inches and millimeters

Post by tblough »

Used to be, the display precision would change to one less decimal place when switching from inches to millimeters, and automatically increase one decimal place when switching back to inches.

I recently upgraded to 5.1 (I know, I know, life has been busy) and now the display precision remains at the setting specified by the new parameter 263. Did moving display precision to the new parameter somehow alter the previous behavior?
Cheers,

Tom

yeah, now P263 can be set to 1,2,3,4, or 5

if you are running acorn the setting is in the Wizard under preferences , cnc control
p263 wizard.png
and if not, the parameter is 263 in the config parameters menu

no auto switching things around when changes units.

Bummer. One additional thing to change when switching between inches and mm. It would be nice to have a single button to switch, instead of three things.

Removing the units selection from the Intercon headers was a step back as well
