F6 ATC Init button was present in 5.24RC4 and prior with the ATC Rack configuration.
FYI- When configuring the rack ATC in the Wizard, I had the text for carousel reflected, not the M18 text for the rack.
My Wizard configuration was for the rack using forks.
This is a screen snip from the Wizard after config and restart for Router -> ATC-Fork configuration.

Re: CNC12 v5.24 RC5 is now available for testing
thanks,
would be nice to see the whole screen
has nothing to do with either fork or hole. and everything to do with the method in which you choose for tool offsets
the first two radio buttons rely on the M18
the third method (maintain a tool library) uses F6 ATC init
Carousel by definition uses 'maintain a tool library' as well.

in the next wizard update, i plan on pulling this tool height info out of this ATC menu and dedicate it to its own menu in the Wizard
this link shows the direction we are going with it, page 4 of the PDF, subject is open for comment.

Re: CNC12 v5.24 RC5 is now available for testing
I couldn't do a full settings screen snip from the wizard, it didn't include everything to show all the settings ( Rack and F5->F8->F6) on the ATC Wizard page on my computer screen, so printed the settings in Wizard and snip from Acrobat to show everything. I did the snip of the bottom of the page of the ATC wizard and attached my report thinking that was enough in the original posting of the issue with RC5.
I use option 3, maintain tool length offset library. In all of the Beta testing I have not noticed the difference in text below the table for each ATC type since I always choose Rack and Option 3 before I populate the fork location data. By the time I get to the bottom of the Wizard page it's always been updated to the Option 3 text in the Wizard.
The F6 ATC Init button worked in 5.24RC4 Router, not showing up on the Router 5.24RC5. Even when I press F6 on the keyboard in the tool database to initialize ATC, the popup window to initialize ATC doesn't display.

Re: CNC12 v5.24 RC5 is now available for testing
you have custom m6 selected as yes.
i bet you jumped the gun.
be sure to always press Write settings to CNC control with "custom M6 in use" set to NO
and let the wizard set everything up for you. then and only then change the slider to Yes and make your changes.
you got to let the wizard get the base parameters for the ATC written .
moving the slider to YES stops the wizard from writing all the basics down and expect the user to set them up in CNC12.
so to recap most Wizard users should.
be sure to always press Write settings to CNC control with "custom M6 in use" set to NO
and then if you want to customize things. go from there.
we will be updating this menu to eliminate this trap in the future.

Re: CNC12 v5.24 RC5 is now available for testing
I'll do a fresh install this weekend and report back.
The Wizard did write the basic Wizard Generated M6 set to 'No" for custom M6 macro before I selected the custom M6 after all wizard settings were written and acorn power cycled for the BOB.
The standard process I try to follow is populating each page in the Wizard, writing, restarting ( power cycle acorn when required ) after each page, complete all sections of the Wizard, then restart CNC12. I close CNC12 then copy over the custom macros ( except the m6 ) , WCS. TL, OL. Then if everything looks good and movement/homing/Touch plate work as expected, then I initialize ATC, verify the rack moves in/out with macros in MDI. After this and no issues, I copy over my modified M6 file from the wizard to include the ATC rack and dust shoe parking. When I install CHIPS and copy over the custom M6 modified for CHIPS file.

Re: CNC12 v5.24 RC5 is now available for testing
I performed a fresh install.
Initial CNC12 5.24 not resizing -
I will attribute this to the prior desktop shortcut ( CNCM/cncr.exe ) not being re-written or a new one placed on the desktop and not deleting the old shortcut for CNC 12 to the latest revision of cncm/cncr.exe - adjustfortaksbar. I did not delete the desktop shortcut from the prior installation before installing 5.24RC5. The ATC INIT F6 Button -
CNC12 5.24 fresh install with all defaults set, the F6 ATC INIT was on the Tool Tab as stated in the Wizard F5-> F8-> F6
Soft keys still disappear from tool database when using the mouse scroll wheel until you click on the screen or press a key on the keyboard Installed CHIPS and adjusted the Parameters settings of 006 to '1' from '0' , 160 to '0', and 976 to '0', installed modified mfunc6.mac for CHIPS. the F6 ATC INIT is no longer on the Tool Tab F5-F8. The F6 ATC INIT button is now on the Advanced Configuration Page at the bottom F7->F3-F6 I think the Wizard is doing what it is supposed to do. Either the parameter changes for CHIPS or the CHIPS installation is causing the ATC INIT button to change screens.
