With a poor man probe > no detect.
Probing cycles are working
TT also working (detect on)

Probe app (old) also works fine this time. (CHIPS didn't want to install...check it later)
Edit: CHIPS installed & works fine.

I am sure Laser (PWM2) is not working in 5.24 Mill AcornSix

There is no voltage on PWM2 after M37, but PWM1 is 2.5V

I switched back to 5.22 in this version PWM2 is 2.5V with M37 and second spindle active, but not changing with S command

I wanted to test on my lathe with AcornSix, PWM Setup in the Wizard, but M37 is an invald M code

My Laser was wired like NEJE Acorn, so I changed it to the AcornSix NEJE schematic, no change except that now the fan on the laser is always on.
I like it better that the power to the laser is switched with Laser Enable instead of the PWM+ signal.

Did anyone get a laser working in mill software?

Uwe

Did anyone get a laser working in mill software?
Works fine here: Router & old Opt laser
pwm set as "configure myself" : inverse output: NO

I will try the router software tomorrow to make sure I did not make a stupid mistake in the wiring. With acorn mill the laser was ok.

No installation or operational issues to report, however did run across a possible bug when checking machine parameters on my PC when changing between CNC12 and other open programs.

On the Parameters settings when changing windows using Alt+Tab to switch between CNC12 and Adobe for Wizard settings, the F7, F8, and F10 'soft' buttons on the bottom of the screen did not appear until pressing a key on the keyboard. Pressing a key or function key on the keyboard, they did reappear. Almost like the screen is not refreshing for the 'soft' buttons. Switch programs and return to CNC12 using ALT+TAB switching between windows, no F7, F8, F10 'soft' buttons on the bottom of the parameters page until pressing another key on the keyboard.

Not sure if it's specific to my PC, but was able to repeat the behavior.

Installed the router software and no problem with the laser.

Report is from the Router version.

With the mill software the laser is not working.

At least I know now the wiring is ok :D

Laser is now working with the mill also.

I compared the mill and router PLC, everything the same in the relevant sections.

Then I compared mill M37 with router M37, mill was with M5 S0, router with M5 S-1 and M3 S-1 in the last line.

Changed this in the mill M37 and STRIKE

So pls. update the M37 in the Mill version on the next release

Only 5 hours to find this bug with some senseless rewiring. Switching +24V with Laser Enable is working better for me than switching PWM,
because I dislike the laser fan blowing when it is plugged in, it should only blow while cutting and for the cool down timer.

Next small bug, the ESC button is hiding the feedrate display with 5 axis.

Could you remove the ESC from the RTG since it acts only as a cycle cancel.... ?

RTG should be ok with 6 axis also ;)

fyi.. CNC12 v5.24 RC45(RC = release candidate = no beta count down timer) is available for testing.

RC5 https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... taller.zip

changes from RC4

- Fixed bug where the Scales menu would incorrectly throw a warning message that the feature is not unlocked, even when an Ultimate license was active on Acorn
- Removed Escape key from the rtg screen
- Removed excess space on the run time graphics screen to allow 5+ axes to fit better
- Fixed 'bug' where fkeys would disappear not showing anything when a keyboard modifier is pressed. This occured because CNC12 attempted to draw alternative keys but found none.
