So you think that you can retrain a 65-70 yr old woodworker that has been doing it the "wrong way" for close to 20 years? I'll go with my version as it's nothing like trying to push a rope.

i agree, not trying to push, just leading to water.

September 18 Update.

CNC12 v5.19 Beta Rev 8 Mill, Lathe, Router, Plasma is now available for public testing!
here is the download link.
https://centroid-support.filemail.com/d/ksnpxbvtukoogel

Big thanks to Scott and Craig for all the recent testing feedback helping us put the final polish on v5.2

v5.19 rev8 build notes.

- VCP will trigger of any switch type buttons that are triggered by the plc (useful as indicators on the vcp)
- Utility menu updated to have html advert across all versions of CNC12
- Fixed bug where rapid feed linked state would not update the status window if triggered from the vcp
- Fixed bug where cycling through search history in run menu would move focus away from search bar
- Fixed bug where the wizard would always show KP1 as the selected probe
- Fixed bug where the simple plc diagnostic tool would not update the IO after closing the options menu

v5.19 rev 7 (note: rev 7 was not made public)
- Removed DSP and DP7 probe from wizard
- Run Menus rewritten in MenuBoss framework. This allows the toggle buttons to be clickable without the use of function keys.
- Fixed some typos in the Hickory Lathe VCP skins that referenced cncm instead of cnct
- Fixed merge issue from v5.18 to v5.19 where the laser on/off button in the laser set part zero menu in router would not toggle the laser off
- Fixed bug where "I will create my own home program" option would set the home type as Simple, thereby not running cncm/t.hom. Added the axis homing direction and order for this option as well.
- Fixed bug where Import IO Preset was not working
- New Hickory hex file for improved Leadshine EL7 Ethercat servo drive communication.
- Fixed a VCP Widgets Win11 bug

I have installed R8 on my lathe with Acorn6.

mfunc50.mac is missing

MPG on port 3 for Z axis is without function

VCP skin is not accepting a color in the skin, but a jpg for the background is ok

I switched back to my previous Beta, because the spindle it turning in manual mode, but not with M3/4
M3/4 is not switching Output4, manual spindle start does it.

First OPCON USB is working, had to be configured like the USB BOB

Z axis can be moved with the WMPG, but not with the MPG

FRV is on by default

This is the first Beta I cannot use...

I too noticed that the previous background color option for the skin file didn't work with beta 6 & 7, but forgot to mention it. :(

The image background works great though. ;)

On my mill with Acorn no problems so far.

I like the changes in the Wizard.

USB BOB with WMPG together is now not so efficient with 4th axis.

WMPG must be on Feed/Speed to activate the MPGs on the BOB, so if I want to turn the 4th axis, WMPG to 100x
Use MPG on the BOB, WMPG to Feed, press MPGLED on the BOB

Last Version was if WMPG is on 4th Axis I could use all MPGs together, that is better IMHO.

I have made my own VCP background image with a 3D look.

I noticed a change along the beta/RC's where the BOB MPG is disabled upon startup of CNC12 by default. So I added an MPG toggle to the buttons list.

I don't have a 4th axis to test.

Installed on my router without any functional issues so far.
