Z axis does what it wants...

Post by leon18 »

Hello friends,

Yesterday my milling machine (BZT PF 1000 P, 4 axes, NPN tool length sensor, Eding-CNC, Interface Advanced Pro + adapter board) ran perfectly. Today I wanted to mill something and the Z axis is really annoying me!

1.) PC, control and program started.

2.) Reference travel started.

3.) ERROR: the Z axis suddenly moves in the wrong direction (Z+).

I ended the program, switched the control off and on again, restarted the program and tried to move Z manually using the JOG buttons:

No matter whether I press Z+ or Z-, the Z axis moves towards Z- (reference switch). As soon as the reference switch is (mechanically) touched and triggered, the stepper motor rattles back and forth, that is, it turns a few mm to the left and then immediately to the right again and this continuously.

My settings in Eding-CNC see photos

I search like crazy all morning, but can't find the error. Do any of you have an idea or a similar experience?

You might want to check on the Eding-CNC forum. This forum is for Centroid CNC products.
Cheers,

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
