Re: NP++ with 3D backplot
It is handy to clean out unwanted motion in long toolpaths from CAM.
Click on an unwanted move and it jumps to the line in the g-code.
(But even better is the new version of the Flow toolpath in fusion, it generates cleaner toolpaths)

Re: NP++ with 3D backplot
Nice find! This would also be very useful to find the line you want for a restart situation. For instance, when running a loooong 3D toolpath, and for some reason, like a power outage (which has happened to me numerous times), you can locate the area and line where you can restart from or edit/delete what could be 500k+ of lines of code.

using a mouse you can double click on any line in the CNC12 g code backplot graph to do the same thing.(determine line number graphically)Sword wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 10:49 am Nice find! Re: NP++ with 3D backplot
I use this feature all the time. I also find myself selecting a few lines back to ensure a smooth transition after a restart.
Awesome feature.

Re: NP++ with 3D backplot
The ability to set a default for either graph on or graph off somewhere?
And this is probably pushing it, but the ability to view the graph in 3d while cutting? I know you can do it before, but not seen a way to do it while cutting. On multi-level toolpaths, this would be really useful.
The ability to switch to G-Code view and back, without losing the graph plot (white line)?
Add the running time to the graph view?
Add spindle speed (actual) to the graph view? Really look at some of the info that is only available on the G-Code view and add it where possible to the graph view as well, so we don't need to switch.

Re: NP++ with 3D backplot
Change the approach to how it plots or offer an alternative. I use the graph view to see progress of the Op. The plot (white dot) will change with tool size, but on smaller tools it's almost impossible to see and on larger ones it just obscures everything. Change this to (or offer) a fixed size that either just changes the line color based on progress or overlays it.
Thx
