What is the best way to program text in intercom? Specifically on a mill.

Draw it in CAD; explode it to lines and arcs; save it as a DXF file; and use DXF Import into Intercon.

And depending on how you want to engrave it, there are some pretty good single line fonts. The one I use for drag engraving in SolidWorks is DPS Schrift.
