What about the rest of the machine? Now that you'll have a "rock solid" base, is the rest of the machine up to the task?

I won't know how rigid it is until I start pushing it. I followed the lead of Piotr's granite CNC router series on YT. His is awesome and has been aligned and calibrated down to microns. I have no way to do that to his level so I'm settling for what accuracy I can test for.

Thanks. The plate is finally done and was a lot of work because much of it had to be done by hand. This is due to the Catch-22 situation of it being the first hold-down plate and therefore couldn't be machined via router outside the router's work envelope. Worse, I spread the mounting holes out to more uniformly cover the plate and ended up with 100 x 110 mm... not square. This meant that it couldn't be turned 90 degrees and offset to allow the router to work on the ends. Oh well, live and learn, and it's done. On this will initially be an MDF sacrificial layer, and later, probably aluminum fixture plates.
