just wanted to reiterate that both SSV and FRV are now standard features built into CNC12 with easy Setup in the Centroid CNC Wizard!
so no need to roll your own anymore, no need to edit the PLC program.
just open the Wizard and configure it up and start using it!"

Re: FRV - Feed Rate Variation New Function <FRV and SSV are now standard features of CNC12 v5.2+ >
Hey there again Centroid Fam....
I am still struggling with this. I am using an Oak board and just updated to the latest version of CNC 12 today (CNC12 v5.3? I think it is)
I can't find any literature that explains the actual implementation of SSV with examples. I see just a couple of videos for use case and casual comments that state M94/70 will turn it on and M94/71 will turn it off. This isn't working for me. I am using a PLC and there is no wizard on my machine. I also noticed that anything that I do find regarding information for this specifies parameters 981 for timing and 982 for rpm deviation. But, this is not the case on my machine either. I found tat 982 is the timing and 983 is for the rpm deviation.
So, I have a couple questions....
1. Is there any actual Centroid officially released information on this other than a patch note and/a centroid CNC tech saying something about it on social media or in a forum somewhere?
2. What am I doing wrong? Does this need to be activated in my PLC or something before it recognizes the M94/70 and M94/71 call in my program?
Thanks ahead of time. I appreciate you guys' input. This feature will be invaluable to me when I get it working due to the parts we typically make at my shop.

FRV and SSV is implemented in the PLC only.
pls post your PLC so I can find out if it is in there.

Acorn, Acornsix, and Hickory have FRV and SSV added to the PLC for the Wizard Versions of the PLCs. Oak/Allin1DC and others would require a modification to the PLC as of current for the feature.
Can look at the acorn/acornsix or hickory PLC as a reference for integrating it to other PLCs.

That's awesome news. Thank you, I'll get the plc attached on here ASAP. Might take me a couple hours, gotta finish up this job first.
Thanks again!!!

Just following up to see if you got a chance to look into this? If not, no rush. I'm just thankful for your efforts. If there is some literature somewhere or a reference I can check out, id be happy to try myself.
Thanks again!!

Maybe is someone who has SSV active in their PLC willing to share it with me so I can make the changes myself?

Sure.
PLC of my lathe with AcornSix
Search for FRV and SRV
Should not be a big job to copy the lines and timer definition to your PLC
