On my desk I have an Acorn Powered on and connected to my PC.
Its pretty much setup like a bench test all the time.
I can load other Acorn reports so I can see exactly how there Acorn is set up.

I can get a license for my Acorn like Plasma pro, and when I launch InterCon from CNC12 then Intercon would see the license.

The right way would be to purchase the offline Intercon key from Centroid if I Wanted to use Intercon on a PC that not connected to a licensed Acorn.

My original Table came with Leadshine steppers. They were direct rack and pinion with a terribly low overall turns ratio.

Lead shine stepper are pretty nice so I kept the motors and drives and just added 5:1 gearboxes to get better resolution.

You can view my motors and gearboxes here https://photos.app.goo.gl/msLeAqKgtnuFYtYf6

I think Clearpath servo's such as the SDSK models are the best.

But Closed loop leadshine's are not as expensive and they have pretty good performance and reliability.
