Auto homing understanding

Just want to make sure my auto homing is working correctly.

The machine homes in correct order. z,y,x

x has 2 motors, they are paired, they touch off, unpaired one moves forward, then the other like it should.
I set everything up correctly with one touching before the other.

My question is when the axis unpairs and moves one forward, The other (unpaired) motor doesn't lock into place, so it just gets pulled along with the master. Is it supposed to lock one side ? or just freewheel like it does now?

I'm using this on our plasma and router tables now, just wanted to double check I understand it correctly.

Thank you

You will want to Jumper the Enable signal from The Master Axis to the slaved axis so that the Slaved axis holds position as the Master Moves to the Home Switch.

Check out this schematic
