Same answer, it doesn't matter what motor/gearbox/drive system or drive ratio you are using the MINIMUM steps/rev NEEDS to be 1600 or higher. This info is in the manuals and all over this site.

Joey asked for this information. That's why I posted it.


I tried to run a job today as a test.
When I start , i get an error on line 15 where a m83 is. not sure what its trying to do. I'm using my previous post processor through sheetcam. Any ideas? or a different post processor i should be using?

ok, post processor is working through sheetcam. Now do i need a macro to fire the torch? Running the machine with the new post processor does a touch off using my float switch , and travels where it should, but never tries to fire the torch. When i was using the mill license , i had a macro to do the touch off, and a macro to check for arc ok then fire torch.

Do you have the "Torch on" assigned in the wizards output menu?

Do you have the Plasma's torch on ON/OFF Wires connected to that same input on the Acorn?

The output was the problem, I never set it when I switched to the plasma license. Thank you so much for your help. The machine works like it use to, now i can work on adding the thc . Thanks again.
