rd. The speed and duplex settings did the trick. Passes everytime and i no long see the error coming up. I spent some time with the THC voltage setup program. The first few times i ran it the torch tip ran into the top of the part. I followed the advice in another post here and did a test cut at .060 above my test material and recorded the voltage. Im using a primweld cut 60. I changed the voltage in the profile for the material i was testing on and it worked much better. I atached an image of the plot but im not sure how to read it. Maybe someone can interpret it for me.
Thanks for all the help. This site is a wealth of information.
If you create a Fresh report in the F7 utility menu and attach to your post. I'll be able to grab your plots from there.
Prime weld will have different voltages and speeds than the Hypertherm Charts. Usually, the Speeds for the Prime weld compared to the Hypertherm 45xp cut charts are slower.
You can use Auto Sense in the Profile manager to have the THC read the voltage at the beginning of the cut and set that as the Target voltage for the rest of the Cut/job.
I would set Auto sense to run at the beginning of each job. You can set the auto sense for every cut in the Profile Manager's THC Config menu.
Ok ill set the smart sense to run at tnd start of the job. Im just in the early stage of getting this thing running again. I atached the 2 plots i had in the google photo album for this post. Ill get a fresh report soon. Ill be away for a few days.
Thank you so much for that explanation. When I get back home I'll run a longer cut with the THC running and put up the plot in the Google album. I'm really loving this centroid and can't wait to get some more time on the machine.
Thank you all so much for the information to resolve this communication issue. I did have some time to make a few cuts, so I have some other questions. I'll start another post as I think this issue is resolved.
Thanks so much!
