You have to run 24 volts into H1 or H4 for the inputs to work, look at the diagram closer.

Aha, well spotted Shawn!
I guess I assumed that since the leds on the torch prox sensors themselves worked, they were getting juice.
I just powered everything down and hooked up a 24v feed to the H4 terminal, but it makes no difference. The lights on the sensors go off and back on when I lift the round mount, but the lights on the Acorn board stay lit red.

Ok, I'm a little confused.
What triggers these inputs? Pulling them high or pulling them low?
The way I've got it wired per the diagram, my NPN prox sensors are sending +24vdc along the signal wire to the THC_TX board. But it seems like the Acorn board input pins only register when they get pulled to COM.
Have I got something backwards here?

You want to pull these inputs down to COM/GND for the 24VDC source. The ACORN and THC_TX inputs have their own pull up resistors built in. As you found out, ACORN requires wiring 24V to the inputs while the THC_TX inputs are internally connected to its +24VDC input pin.

It seems your sensor wire colors might be different so it will definitely be worth doublechecking the pinout there.

The sensor wires are brown blue black just like I'd expect. I wonder if they are mis-labeled as NPN when they're in fact PNP...

Are they normally open or normally closed prox sensors? Do you have that set correctly in the wizard?

They're NO, but act as NC since the round mount holds them closed until it's bumped. That's not the issue though, I've set it both ways in the software. It's sending +24v through the signal wire when triggered, instead of trying the signal wire to ground

Looks like your GND's on the TX board are switched.

I switched the grounds around on the TX board, made no difference.

Is there a way to test communication between TX and RX boards?
I put a jumper straight from GND to IN1 on the TX board, and the IN1 led on the Acorn board still stays red

Can you put more pictures up of everything in the cabinet and power supplies please.

The T in would not work if the TX was not communicating and there would be encoder errors popping up in CNC12.
