Generic PTM 60 plasma torch. Everlast / PrimeWeld / thermal dynamics.

Post by Joey »

Thought I'd make a post about My first experience with the generic Chinese PTM60 plasma torch.

I made some cuts last night and was the first time I was using the PTM60 machine torch. I did not check the consumables before cutting. The inside silver electrode must have been slightly loose. Towards the end of my cuts the electrode worked free or looseened up and started spinning. Causing a kind of cool serrated edge to the parts.

Just a heads up if anyone ever runs into sputtering during the cut or a serrated edge. The inside electrode could be loose. Also the Everlast is prone to some of the air hoses coming loose.

Link to my Everlast testing album. I have some pictures of the serrated loose consumables cuts
