Powermax 1000 g3?
Looking to upgrade from Mach3 to Centroid on a table we just purchased. Is there a way to run the powermax 1000 with the acorn THC if I get the voltage divider from Hypertherm?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Powermax 1000 g3?
I believe the Hypertherm voltage divider outputs 50:1. That will work with the THC. The Powermax 1000g3 has torch on/off pins and that will hook up to the Acorn.

I think we will give it a try. Is the best place to purchase straight from Centroid?

You'd have to buy from a Hypertherm dealer or your local welding supply store or an online welding store.

Re: Powermax 1000 g3?
Thanks!
Got the machine running tonight, trying to get the Torch calibration figured out..
It seems none of the built in profiles match with the powermax 1000, I tried the calibration in .25" inch steel at 45 amps using one of the profiles, seemed to do the trick, but changed to a 45 amp .125 aluminum profile and tried to cut that and the torch just dives into the material after an inch or so?
The calibration macro says I have to use one of the built-in profiles for torch calibration, so I can't use a modified profile made from the powermax 1000 book settings.
How are you going about torch calibration with the Chinese machines? Am I overlooking something simple?
Thanks!
