Hi Everyone,

I am finally getting my control built and now in testing. I can run the machine in Dry Run and it runs the program just fine. I go to fire the torch and it will touch off Z fire the torch and then it just stays there. I probably have a setting wrong. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I am running the old Green Boards if that matters at all.

Hello. Can you create a fresh report and post it? I'm thinking The TX is not ready voltage and giving the Arc OK to move.

Certainly sounds like a noise issue as you have hundreds of Ethernet communication issues. After the torch fires and it’s just sitting there press enter on the keyboard and see if it starts moving. Run the stress test file and see what your results are.

Yep that's the report we needed. I agree with Shawn but I'm also curious what Plasma cutter your running. I've see Cheaper Plama boxes throw out a lot of interference. The Voltage Plots don't look right. Ime not seeing a pierce cycle or clean voltage. Reminds me of a second Gen Primewled 60 Plot.

I am running a Hypertherm powermax 65. One thing I have tried is turning off thc in the profile manager and I was able to run a part. I think this may be a TX board issue. I will double check my wiring. Hopefully I didn't fry it!

I don't think you burnt the board as the voltage is still less than 10V. Can you start a Google photo album and upload pictures of the table, cabinet and the Acorn and THC hookups. More pictures the better. Like Shawn has said, if the Acorn is having Ethernet issues than there is noise coming from somewhere. I'm better the noise is also messing with the TX.

Check the voltage polarity coming out of the Hypertherm cpc cord . Some diy cords are wrong . wrong polarity will not give arc ok to thc bord . This is common mistake . Also the bord can be tested using a small battery procedure in the manual

I will post some pics to google album here soon. Table is a 5x10 table I build using Precision Plasma LLC Magnum HD plans parts. Retrofitting the table from a Candcnc controller.

So I ran the THC_Benchtest program to see what voltage it was reading with a battery and I an getting really odd results. With the way I have it wired it was getting 9.85v without running anything or unhooking any wires, plasma cutter was turned off. I then wired it up for the battery bench test (disconnecting the Hypertherm cable) using a 9v battery. Every time I hooked the battery up it would drop to 0.00v, Unhook the battery and would jump back to 9.85v or so. I then unhooked the all wires off the TX board and it stayed steady 4.80v. Only thing that remained on the TX board was the fiber cable. I've double checked all my wiring and everything appears to be correct.

I am using a genuine Hypertherm CPC cable.

I wouldn't not hook up anything to the TX and try cutting until the interference or grounding issue is resolved in the cabinet. There is voltage coming from somewhere in the cabinet. Pictures of the cabinet and grounds is needed. Check for bad grounding.
