plasma z axis home switch tripping but z axis still going up

Post by jerryk »

Trying to home the plasma z axis for the first time. The home switch makes the light trip on the acorn board, but the z axis still keeps moving up. I have x,y and z axises homing on separate inputs.
Also, the z axis at first was moving up in a positive direction when I hit the z- button on the screen so I changed a setting in the wizard to make it go the right direction. Just ordered the pro software key. Don't have it yet. Does it need pro to run the z axis limits? Thanks

Did you set up in the wizard which direction each axis homes? Since you changed the travel direction you may have to change the direction it moves when it homes.

A license is not needed to use limits or home the z axis or machine.

recommend using the input in the Wizard called "HomeAll" instead of individual inputs. see hookup schematics for guidance on wiring up HomeAll
