Acorn plasma software

Post by jerryk »

Is there a way to tryout the plasma software just on my pc to see if I like it before I buy it. Also what are the benefits of the ultimate vs the pro software? Is my old powermax 1000 supported with the thc? Also what voltage divider would you recommend for my old plasma cutter?
Thanks

with ultimate you get a USB key so you can run Intercon Plasma CAM software on a offline PC.
with Ultimate you will also get any future Ultimate features that we add.

Hello Jerry,
The Powermax 1000 is supported with Centroid Acorn Plasma. Just make sure there is an amperage control module with the Powermax 1000. To check out the software you will need an acorn board. This can be any Acorn board so for example, if you had an Acorn mill you could download the Plasma Software and try it out on that mill.

If I buy the pro software and find out I need the ultimate can I just pay the difference to upgrade, or do I have to pay the whole $399?
Thanks

I’m not 100% sure what the advantages of the ultimate software are but I have the pro version and do mostly production work on my plasma and it does everything I need it to. There’s also a post processor for SheetCam if you are going to use that CAD/CAM software. The plasma software has some really cool features with more on the way. I have a PowerMax 85 on my plasma table.

Yeah when you want to upgrade from pro to ultimate there is just the difference for the cost.
