I had clearpath set at 800ipm and centroid at 1600 changed that reclaibrated so inch is a inch
But when i test cut the circles are very jerky and you can physically see it happening.
What can I do to smooth this out? every time I mess with smoothing its extreme.

Re: recalibrated Clearpath servos
There’s a whole section in the manual on how to setup Clearpath motors for plasma, have you looked at it?
Set Acorn steps/rev to 1600 and set the Clearpath to 1600 as well. Leave the RAS settings at default on the X and Y axis and disable it on the Z axis. Retune all axis and then dial in your overall turns ratio in Acorn so that when you command a 1 inch move you get a 1 inch move. Set your Accel/Decel to .3 for now.
Keith pointed out that your machine and its gearboxes are not in the “sweet spot” for plasma. You may not have had it configured properly but it could very well be a mechanical issue.
Do you have TeamViewer installed on the machine?

Re: recalibrated Clearpath servos
I noticed in your report that you have .040" backlash compensation in your settings. Do you really have .040" backlash? That's a huge problem if you do. You also have your overall turns ratio for X and Y the exact same, there's no way they are exactly the same but you can tweak that later. Your Z is set to 2, I assume then it's belt driven with pulleys and not direct motor to ball screw?

Re: recalibrated Clearpath servos
I’m not sure why I put the 0.40 in backlash
the Z is direct driven
the Z is direct driven

Re: recalibrated Clearpath servos
the X and Y are same gearbox ,rack and pinion and motor
I command 1” and it’s 1”
